OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST / SOUTHLAND
I have always had a passion for working with children as from a young age, I have always been involved in coaching, volunteering and babysitting. After a previous experience within the Child Development Service and witnessing the enjoyment children bring to life, I knew that paediatrics was the pathway I wanted to take. I love supporting families and children to help enhance their development in everyday tasks.
I also value the importance of living a balanced lifestyle as I enjoy spending time outdoors including hiking, running, attending the gym and playing netball as well as travelling to visit new places with friends and family.
I graduated as an OT in 2005 and have since worked in a range of different practice areas. For the past 10 years I have specialised in Neurorehabilitation which is a real passion of mine. I feel incredibly fortunate to have a career where I get to support individuals and their families to work through specific challenges and make a real difference in their lives.
I was born and raised in South Canterbury (Temuka) which is where I have chosen to raise my family. I have three very active children, who keep me busy and on my toes. As a family we enjoy getting out and about on the weekends and exploring new areas.
I enjoy cooking and love to host family and friends for dinner/social get-togethers. Before we started our family, we enjoyed international travel and got to see many different parts of the world. I hope to get back to this one day!
